What makes quartzite different
Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone. It starts as sandstone, gets compressed and heated for thousands of years, and ends up harder than granite. The look reads like high-end marble, but the daily living holds up like granite.
Every quartzite slab is one of a kind. Taj Mahal looks like a soft watercolor of cream and beige. Cristallo is closer to ice with translucent flecks. Allure leans warmer with gray veining. You have to see them in person to feel the difference, which is why we want you in the showroom before any cutting begins.

If you came here from marble shopping, this is the comparison you wanted. Quartzite gives you the marble look with the daily-living durability of granite.

Why fabricate your quartzite with us
Hand-selected slabs, not warehouse leftovers
We buy from MSI, Cosentino, and Topzstone direct. You see the actual slab you'll own before any saw touches it.
26-year senior fabricator on every cut
Quartzite is harder to cut than granite. Our lead fabricator has 26 years of experience on natural stone. The edge finish shows.
Slab layout approval before cutting
We map your kitchen onto the slab and send you the layout to approve. You see where the dramatic veining lands before we commit.
Fixed price after the measure
Quartzite is the most premium stone we sell. The price you get after the free in-home measure is the price you pay. No surprises.
Sealed at install
Quartzite is natural stone and benefits from sealing. We seal it once at install. Resealing every few years keeps it pristine.
We carry the full lineup
Taj Mahal, Cristallo, Allure, plus other quartzites by request. If you've seen a quartzite name elsewhere, we can probably source it.

Quartzite questions
-
Is quartzite the same as quartz?
- No. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone quarried from the earth. Quartz is engineered from crushed stone plus resin. Quartzite has more visual variation. Quartz is more uniform and never needs sealing.
-
How does quartzite compare to marble?
- Quartzite looks like marble but holds up like granite. Marble is softer and etches easily from acidic foods like lemon or wine. Quartzite resists etching and is much harder.
-
Does quartzite need to be sealed?
- Yes. We seal it once at install. Resealing every 2 to 3 years keeps it stain-resistant. Sealing is a wipe-on process that takes about 30 minutes for a typical kitchen.
-
How much does quartzite cost installed?
- Most quartzite runs from $85 to $130 per square foot installed. Premium slabs like Taj Mahal sit at the higher end. We'll quote your exact kitchen at the free in-home measure.
-
Can quartzite handle hot pans?
- Yes. Quartzite is natural stone with high heat tolerance. A trivet still protects the sealer over time. Direct contact with extremely hot cast iron isn't recommended.
-
Why is Taj Mahal so popular?
- It's the most-requested quartzite we sell. The warm cream and beige veining works in almost any kitchen design. It reads as marble without the etching risk. Most homeowners fall in love at first sight.
-
Will my finished kitchen look exactly like the slab?
- Yes. We send you a layout before any cutting that shows exactly how the slab maps to your kitchen. You approve the layout, then we cut. Zero surprises.
-
What if my slab cracks during install?
- Our team carries every install. Damage during fabrication or install is on us, not you. Manufacturer warranties pass through to you in writing in your install packet.
